The Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Surgeons Professional Association, Inc.
Successor organization to The Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, Inc. ("CTACS") which was founded in 1967, The Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Surgeons Professional Association, Inc. (CTACSPA) was organized in 2005 to promote the aims, interests, ideals and programs of the American College of Surgeons. We work towards achieving our mission by providing educational opportunities for physicians, residents and students in Connecticut.
It is the goal of the CTACSPA to promote the aims, interests, ideals and programs of the American College of Surgeons in our state. We work towards our mission primarily by providing educational and information programs and opportunities for physicians, residents and students.
We have active committees working on your behalf in the state in the following areas: Awards Committe , Bariatic Committee, Program Committee, Commission on Cancer, Legislative Affairs Committee, Committee on Trauma, Young Surgeons Committee, Medical Students Committee and a Membership Committee.
Your involvement is essential to help maintain this vital organization. In this period of near constant change in the socio-economic and scientific landscape, it is more important than ever that we speak in a cohesive voice.
All Fellows, Associate Fellows and Candidate group members of the American College of Surgeons are eligible and encouraged to join our group.
